Talking BYTE on the Unofficial Office Hours Podcast

Want to learn more about Branding Your Teaching Excellence, my faculty development framework?

Miranda Rodak & I recently joined the Unofficial Office Hours podcast for a conversation about BYTE and the larger question of how teaching-focused faculty can make their work visible in ways that feel authentic, strategic, and sustainable.

In the episode, we talk about a tension many educators feel: doing meaningful yet ephemeral, labor-intensive teaching work while struggling to articulate that work clearly for the audiences that matter, including promotion and awards committees.
BYTE emerged as a response to that challenge, offering faculty a framework for becoming more strategic and self-advocating storytellers by clarifying teaching identity, documenting their impact, and aligning values with evidence.
